A Scranton man was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday night. The Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene on County Roads P14 and E53, southeast of Scranton, at approximately 7:26 p.m. They found that a 2012 GMC Terrain, driven by 28-year-old Emily Perrien of Coon Rapids, was northbound on P14. At that same time, a 2015 Harley Davidson FSB, driven by 46-year-old Donald Daniel, was westbound on E53. The Daniel motorcycle collided with the Perrien SUV in the intersection and both vehicles came to rest on the roadway. Daniel received fatal injuries in the accident. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the Jefferson Police and Fire Departments, Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Vehicle Enforcement and Greene County Emergency Medical Services.
