Maryland Congressman and 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate, John Delaney, closed out a five-day Iowa tour with a meet-and-greet at the Carroll Pizza Ranch with District 12 House candidate, Peter Leo, on Sunday. This marked the 99th county visit for Delaney in 14 different trips to Iowa since he announced his campaign run last year. “This is about sending a message to Iowans,” Delaney said, “it doesn’t matter if you live in Corning or Cedar Rapids—your voice matters.” He went on to say that Democrats have lost quite a few elections in the last decade and they have stopped showing up in a lot of different places. “We got away from putting in the work, and putting in the miles and listening. It’s time to bring the country together, close the divides and make sure that no one, in any zip code, feels like they’re ignored,” Delaney added.
