Lake View officials are continuing to address housing concerns in the community by forming a committee to investigate the issue further. The six-member roster was approved Tuesday by the city council. Individuals appointed include: Hannah Brotherton, Jane Croll, Judy Kramer, Gary Kruse, Katherine Richardson and Cort Stargell. City Administrator, Scott Peterson, says housing is a one of the biggest problems for city leaders.

Their three goals are to develop a housing program to take advantage of available Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, rehabilitate downtown buildings to include upper-story residential options and increase general single-family housing. Peterson says they are pleased they have put together such a great group of individuals.

The committee is being created in the midst of a county-wide housing study and will likely continue once that study is finished. The tentative plan is for them to meet once every two weeks and to report back to the council regularly on their findings.
