Trial For Manning Man Accused Of Stealing Two Vehicles Delayed To October

The jury trial for a Manning man accused of stealing two vehicles has been rescheduled for the third time. According to court records, 41-year-old Kyle Gene Lohrmann has entered not guilty pleas to two counts of second-degree theft, a class D felony, and one count of first-offense possession of a controlled substance—marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. On Nov. 20, a stolen 2014 Chevrolet pickup and 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix were located in his possession at a residence in Manning. His trial was originally scheduled to begin on April 24, but was pushed back to July 10, and again to Sept. 11. On Thursday, a District Court judge approved a motion to continue that delays the start of the trial to Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If found guilty of the charges, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a maximum of $21,250 in fines.
