The weather is changing, the leaves are turning and people are decking out their homes and yards with festive fall decorations. This coming Sunday, Oct.7, from noon to 4 p.m., four local homeowners will be opening their doors to allow visitors in for tours during the St. Anthony Auxiliary’s fall fundraiser, Tour of Homes. Member, Deb Quandt, says that even if you haven’t already purchased a ticket, you can still take part in the tour.

Quandt says since 1994, the Auxiliary has donated over $700,000 to St. Anthony projects, including the Alzheimer’s addition, The Birth Place, the Education Center, the Stork’s Nest, Cardiac Rehabilitation, the Cancer Center and more.

The money for all of this comes from the group’s fundraisers, such as this one. Quandt is more than just an organizer for the event, her home is also one of those that will be featured on Sunday.

Quandt says they have a condominium on the list on Northridge Drive that will showcase how great condominium living can be. There is a rural home on Noble Avenue that is owned and decorated by an interior designer and features handcrafted woodwork and cabinetry by the homeowner as well. Greasewood Flats on Griffith Road will also be open for the public tour. Following the event, A Taste of Fall will be taking place in the St. Anthony Regional Hospital atrium where coffee and desserts will be served.
