The Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Office is encouraging local commercial pesticide applicators to register early for an upcoming Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP). On Thursday, Oct. 24, licensed applicators can attend sessions on mosquito and public health pest management from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The courses will include continuing education credits in Community Insect Management, Public Health Pest Control and Research and Demonstration categories. They will also cover equipment calibration, methods to reduce pesticide drift and much more. Registration is required to attend and is $35 per person if completed before Thursday, Oct. 18. Participants can register after that date, but the cost increases to $45 per person. For more information or to register, use the contact points included below.
