The Carroll County Conservation Board (CCCB) annual Fall Fest takes place tomorrow (Saturday), Oct. 20. The event will feature many activities for all ages, such as crafts and games, a live bird presentation from S.O.A.R., a prairie maze and much more. There is no cost to attend Fall Fest, but participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to contribute to the New Opportunities food drive. Deal’s Orchard apple cider and Pokey’s famous caramel apples will be provided to guests at no charge, with the option for a free-will donation. Area residents are invited to join in the autumn-themed fun from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Conservation Education Center at Swan Lake State Park.
