Candidates around the state are pushing hard to reach as many people as possible in these final campaigning days before Tuesday’s mid-term general election. Fred Hubbell and Senator Rita Hart are “barnstorming” the state in their Get Iowa Growing bus tour, making several local stops today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday). Hart will be in Crawford County this afternoon at the Dunlap City Hall community room at 3 p.m. for a meet-and-greet session. Then on Friday, Nov. 2, she will stop at Hutch’s Café in Sac City at 10 a.m., traveling then to the Milwaukee Depot in Jefferson to meet with residents at 11:45 a.m. The pair says that Gov. Reynolds prioritizes wasteful corporate tax giveaways and supports the privatization of Medicaid in what they call disastrous policies. They will bring their message to constituents and explain their plan to expand access to health care, invest in education and get incomes rising.
