Law enforcement has requested an arrest warrant for a Jefferson man who was found to be intoxicated during a kitchen fire. The Jefferson Police Department submitted their warrant request for 19-year-old Christopher Lindaman on one count of possession of alcohol by an underage person, a simple misdemeanor. Authorities responded to the 200 block of West Adams Street on Oct. 22 on a report of a small kitchen fire and located Lindaman, who was extremely intoxicated at the time. Officers determined he had left the residence to go to the grocery store and made admissions to law enforcement about consuming alcohol underage. A simple misdemeanor charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 days imprisonment and $625 in fines.
