A Glidden man is charged with operating while intoxicated after taking out two utility poles on Saturday evening. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the single-vehicle accident on 177th Street and Apple Avenue, northeast of Glidden, at approximately 6 p.m. Fifty-four-year-old Lyle Stork lost control of his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and struck two telephone poles, breaking them off. There was an estimated $15,000 in damage to the truck and around $1,000 for each of the poles. This is Stork’s second operating while intoxicated charge, and he was also cited for driving while his license was revoked. No injuries were reported.
