The Carroll Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident Thursday morning. At approximately 12:02 a.m., a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 20-year-old Janys Behrendt, was northbound on Clark Street, when she struck a red, or maroon, car that did not stop for the posted sign on 11th Street. Behrendt told authorities there was a larger white or Hispanic male driving the unknown car. Damage to that red or maroon vehicle will be to the driver’s side and will be extensive.
