Glidden Hosts Winter Wonderland Sunday

The City of Glidden is inviting area residents to join them this weekend to usher in the holiday season. Festivities get underway in downtown Glidden at 5 p.m. on Sunday with the annual tree lighting and community Christmas carols on Idaho Street. A number of well-known holiday personalities will be stopping in town during the event to meet with children. These characters include Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as Olaf and Elsa from Disney’s popular film, Frozen. Families are invited to enjoy trolley rides at the Glidden Fire Department and join in face painting, crafts, bingo and a gingerbread contest at the Glidden Public Library. City staff will be collecting mitten and food donations during the event. A full schedule can be found included with this story on our website.
