A Glidden man has been arrested after brandishing what appeared to be a handgun. The Carroll Police Department was notified at approximately 3:25 p.m. Tuesday that a man was at 3rd and Clark Streets pointing a weapon at a female in a vehicle and striking the gun against the vehicle. The suspect, 56-year-old Donald Ventiecher, was located in the 700 block of N. West Street and taken into custody. Upon his arrest, a BB gun with the appearance of a handgun was recovered. Venteicher has been charged with assault and violation of a protective order.
