A 13-year-old Storm Lake middle school student was arrested on Tuesday for assaulting another student and threatening to stab a teacher. The Storm Lake Police Department took a report of a fight that occurred on a school bus Tuesday morning. The male suspect allegedly hit and kicked the victim multiple times. On the same day, threats were made against the instructor. After an investigation, the juvenile male was charged with assault causing bodily harm and second-degree harassment, both serious misdemeanors. He was processed and released to a parent pending a court date. The case has been forwarded to the juvenile courts.
