A Lake City couple has welcomed their first baby into their family and he was also the first baby of 2019 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City. Benson Jerome Hildreth was born at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, weighing in at seven pounds and measuring 20.5 inches long. His birth was celebrated by his parents, Ashley and Conner Hildreth, as well as grandparents, Jim and Jodi Henkenius and Gary and Pam Hildreth, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Dr. Susan Hornback performed the delivery, and she joined the hospital and the other Stewart Memorial employees in showering the family with gifts, including diapers and wipes, a piggy bank, clothing, toys, personal care items, books, a newborn photography session with Jessica Henry and much more. The Community Pharmacy also commemorated the birth of Benson Jerome with a variety of health and wellness items.
