Through the generosity of families and donors in west central Iowa, each year the St. Anthony Foundation is able to invest in the next generation of healthcare through their scholarship program. The application period is now open for those students pursuing a degree in a healthcare field. “St. Anthony is proud to contribute to the continued education of tomorrow’s health care leaders,” says Trish Roberts, St. Anthony Foundation Development Director. “By providing scholarships to students pursuing health care careers, we are supporting those individuals as well as the health care industry. This invaluable investment is made possible with the generous support of foundation donors and families who recognize the impact of the programs we offer and the important work we do at St. Anthony,” Roberts adds. There are more than a dozen scholarships available, starting at $500, and only one application is needed to cover all scholarship opportunities. To be eligible, students must maintain a 2.5 minimum grade point average. Applications and guidelines are available through the guidance counselor offices at local schools, at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC), on the St. Anthony website at www.stanthonyhospital.org or at the St. Anthony Human Resources and Foundation offices.
