Mass of the Christian Burial for 92-year-old Dorothy Bruening of Carroll, formerly of Maple River, will be Monday at 10 am at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with burial at St. Francis Cemetery in Maple River. The St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary will form an honor guard for the funeral mass. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 2 pm Sunday where there will be a Rosary at 3 and a Christian Wake Service at 4:30 Sunday evening. Visitation will resume at the church from 9 to 9:45 Monday morning prior the Mass. Dorothy Bruening is survived by her children: Pat Tan Creti of Carroll, Joan Kerwood of Boone, Barbara Thielen & Joyce Nieland, both of Carroll, Angela Reuter of Missouri, and Mark Bruening of Maple River…..16 grandchildren….29 great grandchildren….3 great great grandchildren…..and 2 sisters: Janet Snyder of Carroll and Loretta Hannasch of Texas. The family suggests memorials be donated to the St. Anthony Cancer Center or the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis, Missouri.
