$2 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Iowa

The Iowa Lottery has announced that the second biggest lottery winner in a month purchased the $2 million Powerball ticket at Hy-Vee in Burlington. The ticket came within one number of the $223.6 million jackpot, missing the Powerball. However, whoever bought the ticket did add the Power Play option, which doubled the $1 million prize. Saturday’s prize was the only one of that dollar amount in the country. Hy-Vee will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the ticket. Saturday’s jackpot went unclaimed and it is estimated that it will climb to $242 million, or a $148.1 million lump-sum option, on Wednesday.
