Mass of the Christian Burial for 82-year-old Lawrence Thelen of Carroll, formerly of Vail, will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with interment at 1 Wednesday afternoon at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Vail. Friends may call at the church after 4 pm Tuesday where there will be a Rosary at 5 and a Christian Wake Service at 7 Tuesday evening. Visitation will resume at the church from 9:30 to 10:15 Wednesday morning. Lawrence Thelen is survived by his wife: Cecilia of Carroll……his children: John of Charter Oak, Carolyn Sporrer of Manning, Sharon Thelen of Manilla, Karen Vollstedt of Manning, Nancy Padget of Ankeny, Janelle Houston of Minnesota, Mary Ann Waterbury of Ogden, Sheila Kanne of Indianola, and Paul of Riverside….21 grandchildren…..18 great grandchildren…..and his siblings: Sylvester of Templeton, Ralph of Florida, Mary Ann Ludwig of Carroll and Lynette Schaffer of Omaha.
