A Lake City man was arrested earlier this week after he was found in possession of stolen road signs. According to a criminal complaint from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Brandon Lee Makinson was taken into custody on Sunday, Feb. 17 and charged with fourth-degree theft, a serious misdemeanor. Carroll County District Court documents says authorities found the stolen pole and signs from the intersection of Twilight Avenue and 160th Street in his 2010 Ford F350 Super Duty and Makinson allegedly admitted to law enforcement that he had taken the signs. He was transported to the Carroll County jail and released after posting a $1,600 surety bond. His next court appearance has been scheduled for Thursday, March 7 at the Carroll County Courthouse.
