The Jefferson Police Department was called to the Greene County Elementary School Thursday afternoon after a student assaulted an instructor. According to law enforcement, an eight-year-old male juvenile had gotten upset and attacked the teacher, who reported receiving minor injuries during the incident The student had been picked up by parents by the time an officer arrived at the school. An investigation into the event is ongoing.
