The Carroll Area I-Club Annual Spring Banquet is scheduled for early next month, and University of Iowa fans are encouraged to get their tickets now before they sell out. Club Co-President, Jeff Cayler, says they are excited to announce the list of special guests for their May 2 event.
He adds they may also have Athletic Director, Gary Barta, and several student athletes attend, if schedules allow. The banquet is almost always well attended with more than 450 people present each year. The event begins with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. at the Arcadia Legion Hall. Dinner will be catered by the Lidderdale Country Store and starts a 6:30 p.m., followed by the evening’s program at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students through seventh grade. Cayler says they also have sponsorship opportunities still available.
Details on how to purchase tickets can be found included with this story on our website. Cayler says they are lucky to be able to have this banquet on an annual basis, as many other clubs are cutting back.
Cayler adds that having good attendance on an annual basis is key to their organization’s success. The Carroll branch is consistently one of the top clubs in the nation, being honored in five of the last seven years. When not preparing for the banquet, the I-Club hosts gatherings for fans throughout the year, including a summer golf outing, a steak fry and a group trip to an athletic event.
