The Carroll Police Department reported a couple of arrests over the weekend that included some very high numbers for Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). In Iowa, anyone with a BAC of .08 or higher is considered legally intoxicated. A requested welfare check was what initiated the first arrest at approximately 2:22 a.m. on Saturday April 13. Officers responded to the residence on Clark Street and arrested 41-year-old Jesse Spindler of Carroll for public intoxication after he recorded more than five times the legal limit at .462. The second came later that same day, at approximately 10:30 p.m. The department received a complaint of an unruly subject in the 1200 block of Plaza Drive. A Walsh, Ill. man, 24-year-old Roy Glasco, was arrested for public intoxication and possession of marijuana. Glasco had a BAC of .286.
