The Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single-vehicle accident in the early morning hours Saturday. At approximately 2:58 a.m., 20-year-old Tina Lair Ven-Meter of Coon Rapids was northbound in the 1600 block of Highway 25, south of Scranton, when she fell asleep. Her 2008 Kia Rio left the road, flipped two times, coming to rest in the ditch. The vehicle suffered severe damage and the responding officer estimated there was approximately $5,000 in property damage. Greene County Emergency Medical Services transported Ven-Meter to the Greene County Medical Center for an evaluation of head pain complaints.
