One vehicle suffered disabling damage, but no one was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Carroll Sunday. The Carroll Police Department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and 18th Street at approximately 2:08 p.m. A 2003 Honda CRV, driven by 77-year-old Marlene Blevins of Lake View, was northbound on 71. At the same time, a 2014 Honda Odyssey, driven by 26-year-old Kelsey Eischeid of Coon Rapids, was westbound on 18th Street. Eischeid had stopped at the posted sign and then continued into the intersection, not seeing the Blevins’ vehicle approaching. Eischeid was struck in the driver’s side door. The impact caused the disabling damage to the Blevins’ CRV. Eischeid was cited for failure to yield on a left turn.
