The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will discuss issues regarding the Veterans Affairs Commission, the job description for a new IT employee and more during their regularly scheduled meeting next week. The first item of business will be to review the Carroll County VA budget and compensation for the commission’s director. Supervisors will then consider entering an agreement with the City of Carroll concerning parking fines and develop a job description for a new IT director. The current director, Carl Wilburn, announced last November that he planned to retire sometime near the end of 2019 or early 2020. The board will also consider an application for a fireworks display in the 28000 block of Highway 30 near Glidden and review several grant applications. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 13 in the meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
