One of Carroll’s newest businesses, Scooter’s Coffee, celebrated their official grand opening on Friday. The store on West Highway 30 has been serving customers for a few weeks already, and franchisees, Blake and Lindsey Jochim, say the support from the community has been overwhelming.

Scooter’s is positioned in a prime location, right off the highway in the CitiCentre Plaza in the Bomgaar’s parking lot. Thousands of vehicles travel by the coffee shop every day, usually on their way to and from work. On average, it takes less than 90 seconds for a customer’s order to be completed, which is critical for people in a hurry. While the word coffee is in their name, Lindsey says they offer products to fit many different tastes.

She adds they also offer food options, including: ciabatta sandwiches, bagels, breakfast burritos, pastries and much more. Scooter’s is all about the customer experience, and Lindsey says that is made even better with the Scooter’s app.

The app can be downloaded through the Apple App or Google Play stores. The grand opening celebration lasted throughout the day. Beginning at 10 a.m., the first 100 customers received a $5 gift card. At 1 p.m., the first 50 patrons were given a Scooter’s Coffee tumbler and at 4 p.m., the next 50 received a Scooter’s t-shirt. The Carroll locations is the fifth franchise owned by the Jochim family.
