Carroll Fire Department To Honor One Of Their Own At Funeral Of Fireman’s Son Who Drowned Saturday

As the Carroll City Council convened their meeting on Monday night, they first took some time to pay their respects to one of their own. Six-year-old Kadyn Lynn. Sporrer died in a tragic drowning accident Saturday in Glidden, and his father, Josh Sporrer, is a member of the Carroll Volunteer Fire Department. Fire Chief, Greg Schreck, says he went to the Sporrer home on Sunday to support Josh and Kyla during this difficult time.

Schreck then asked which one of the department’s trucks was Kadyn’s favorite.

As a sign of respect and show of support, all those present at the council meeting then held a moment of silence in remembrance of Kadyn. Council member Jerry Fleshner, who was acting as mayor pro tem for the meeting, says this is a loss felt by everyone.
