The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on U.S Highway 30 in Glidden at approximately 2:52 p.m. A 2011 Ford F-250, driven be 39-year-old Jacob Lee Field of Callender, was eastbound on the highway when he struck a vehicle that pulled out in front of him. Seventy-three-year-old Joseph Robert Forbes was driving that vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, northbound but negotiating a left turn onto the highway from a parking lot. There were no injuries reported, but there was $2,500 in damage to the Ford and $5,000 to the Chevrolet. Forbes was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn.
