One person was transported for treatment of suspected minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident south of Ralston Thursday. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on 280th Street, near County Road E57, at approximately 8:08 a.m. Forty-three-year-old Amber Romick of Coon Rapids was eastbound on 280th in a 2005 Dodge Magnum when she crossed the center line. Her vehicle sideswiped a westbound 2005 Kenworth semi-tractor trailer, driven by 38-year-old Neil Loren Vonnahme of Arcadia. The Romick vehicle then spun around the rear of the trailer, ending up facing west in the north ditch. Romick was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services. Vonnahme was uninjured. There was an estimated $7,000 in damage to the Magnum and $3,500 in damage to the Kenworth truck and trailer. Romick was cited for failure to yield half of the roadway.
