A Manning man faces multiple charges in District Court for Carroll County for allegedly smashing his car into the victim’s vehicle to purposely threaten and cause damage. According to court records, 29-year-old Brice Edward Shrimpton was arrested by the Carroll Police Department on Wednesday, Sept. 11 on charges of second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, and first-offense domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury and child endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors. Authorities say Shrimpton used his 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix at approximately 8:33 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9 to strike the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle more than once, causing an estimated $9,000 in damage. The victim and a juvenile male were in the car at the time of the incident. Shrimpton was released from the Carroll County jail on his own recognizance after appearing before a magistrate. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3.
