A Carroll man accused of burglarizing a vehicle was arrested Tuesday by the Carroll Police Department. According to Carroll County District Court records, 18-year-old Dalton Lee Andrew Maples was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant that stems from an incident in the 800 block of North Clark Street on Aug. 30. A deputy with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office located a suspicious male searching through the interior of a 2009 Buick Lacrosse. When law enforcement made contact, Maples showed signs of intoxication, swung at the officers and resisted arrest to the point a Taser was used to restrain him. Officers sustained injuries during the struggle, including cuts and a sprained hand. Maples is charged with third-degree burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor, interference with official acts causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor, and public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor.
