Eileen was born on November 21, 1946, in Carroll, to Henry and Genevieve (Grossman) Huegerich. She grew up on a farm near Lidderdale, attended Holy Family Grade School in Lidderdale, and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School. On January 17, 1970, Eileen married Daru Ross at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, Iowa. They lived in Manning where she was a homemaker and raised her babies until 1974, when they moved to Carroll. She was employed by the Carroll Country Club for several years, and later worked for Farner-Bocken Company, where she retired.  Eileen loved her family. One of her favorite things was watching her children and most recently, grandchildren, play sports. She also enjoyed card games, Dominoes, putting puzzles together, playing games on her Kindle, and bowling in her younger years. She loved blessing the hearts of everyone she met. Eileen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll.
