The Carroll Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll Young Professionals (CYP) are hosting two special events. Today (Thursday) is Moonlight Madness throughout Carroll, and owner of Toploft Clothing, Stephanie Hackfort, says local businesses will have some spectacular savings for shoppers.
There will also be trick-or-treating and a costume contest from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the downtown district. Chamber member, Steve Blackburn, says this is a great annual event.
Many of the businesses will have deals throughout the day as well so people can shop earlier and bring the kids down later this evening. A full listing of participating businesses can be found on the Chamber of Commerce website. The CYP has also organized a fun new event to take place early in November, the Barstool Open. Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Shannon Landauer, explains what people can expect and the reason for this special fundraising event.
Everyone is encouraged to put together their teams of four for the Nov. 2 competition.
The cost is set at $100 per team through Friday, Oct. 25. After that, it increases to $120 a team for the traveling golf tournament that will stop at Carroll Brewing, Kerps, Brothers on Main and Full Swing Golf. A link to the Chamber website can be found below.
