Area residents are invited to join Carroll County Conservation at Swan Lake State Park this weekend for their annual autumnal celebration, Fall Fest. Saturday’s event will be held at the Conservation Education Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. From autumn-themed games to delicious and nutritious snacks, Naturalist, Matt Wetrich, says they will have something for everybody to enjoy.
He adds they do not have a formal schedule for Fall Fest, so all these attractions will be available throughout the event. According to Wetrich, one of the best things about Fall Fest is there is no cost to attend.
Wetrich says a new item is being added to the agenda for this year that will teach kids all about recycling.
Wetrich adds they are encouraging attendees to bring a non-perishable food item along with them to support the New Opportunities food pantry. Again, Fall Fest runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Swan Lake Conservation Education Center.
