A Halbur teen has been cited for failure to obey a stop sign after getting struck in the intersection of 10th and West Streets in Carroll Tuesday afternoon. The Carroll Police Department responded to the report at approximately 4 p.m. Upon arrival, they learned that a 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by 16-year-old Abbigail Danner of Carroll, was southbound on West Street. At that same time, a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 17-year-old Caleb Rotert, was westbound on 10th Street. Rotert ran the stop sign and entered the intersection where he was struck by the Danner vehicle. No injuries were reported, but there was functional damage to both vehicles. Rotert was also cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
