The City of Glidden and Glidden-Ralston Community School District are partnering again this year to ensure every student has warm clothes for the winter. City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, says the Mitten Tree has become an annual tradition in Glidden and benefits many families in town.
She adds items should be dropped off at the city offices on Idaho Street by Monday, Dec. 16. The collected clothing will then be taken to the school and distributed to students as needed. Peterson says they do have a simple requirement for the items to be donated.
Glidden City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but they will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
