The Carroll County Board of Supervisors have two closed sessions on the agenda for next week’s regularly scheduled meeting. The closed sessions are scheduled for the end of the meeting with the first held under Iowa Code 21.5(j), “To discuss the purchase or sale of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property.” The supervisors are expected to set a minimum auction price for the sale of the 113-acre county farm north of Carroll on Mahogany Avenue. That auction is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14 in the courtroom at the courthouse. The second closed session will begin immediately after the first and marks the beginning of negotiations with the county’s union employees. Other items on the agenda include funding requests from the Carroll County Fair Board and Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault (CAASA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 and manure management annual updates. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9 in the meeting room at the courthouse. The full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
