The Carroll County Board of Supervisors offered up the 113 acre, more or less, county farm north of Carroll this morning (Saturday) at a public auction. There were just over a half dozen serious bidders present at the Carroll County Courthouse, driving bidding over the $8,800 per acre reserve set by the supervisors. High bidder was Craig Wiederin at $10,600 per acre. The next step in the sale process will have the supervisors scheduling a public hearing. This will be done Monday, Dec. 16 at the regular meeting at 9 a.m. in the board room at the courthouse.
