Registration is open now through Feb. 21 for Iowa Student Loan’s Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship. High school seniors will have a chance to win $2,000 through one of the 30 scholarships while also learning financial literacy skills. In addition, each winner’s high school will receive a corresponding $250 award. After registering at www.IowaStudentLoan.org/SeniorScholarship, students will receive email instructions for completing three required online components. This involves two tutorials helping students understand the consequences of college borrowing and how to maximize their return on college investment. A related multiple choice assessment will check students’ understanding of the concepts in the tutorials. The 30 highest scoring seniors will receive the scholarships, which will be sent directly to their colleges in the fall of 2020. In the event of a tie, the students will be asked to complete a separate component.
