No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident in Carroll on the morning of Christmas Eve. At approximately 10:44 a.m., the Carroll Police Department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and 10th Street. Their initial investigation determined a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 84-year-old Shirley Limberg of Estherville, was traveling southbound on 10th and attempting to turn west onto the highway. At the same time, a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 21-year-old Bailey Thompson of Carroll, was heading northbound and preparing to turn west. As the vehicles proceeded onto the highway, Limberg turned into the inside lane and struck the Malibu, causing functional damages to both vehicles. Limberg was cited for failure to yield upon entering a highway.
