The Carroll County Board of Supervisors have scheduled a public hearing on the sale of the approximately 113-acre county farm for their meeting next week. According to the published agenda, the public hearing is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be preceded by several other items of business. First, the supervisors will review the proposed Home Care Aides Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 budget, followed by an update from financial firm, D.A. Davidson, concerning a dissemination agent agreement for the issuance of bonds for the jail project. Once the board has finished with the public hearing, they will then vote on a resolution approving the sale of the county farm, which went for $10,600 per acre at a public auction Dec. 14. The supervisors will finish the meeting by signing a proclamation commemorating the 100-year anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which secured women the right to vote, manure management annual updates and reports from committees. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 in the boardroom at the courthouse. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
