Statement On Viral Snapchat Video From Carroll Burger King To Come From Corporate Headquarters

A snapchat sent out by an employee with the Carroll Burger King went viral on Christmas Eve, shared hundreds of times since and creating a long listing of derogatory comments from viewers. In the video, the employee stated they were upset about being called in to work that day, so they had brought along with them a container of a “fart” spray. They then proceeded to discharge the liquid from that container in the kitchen, right near where food was stored and prepared. One other employee was seen reacting to the foul smelling discharge, but then joining in the horseplay by pulling down their pants and exposing their underwear to the camera—all while wearing the gloves used to prepare and serve food. Carroll Broadcasting had reached out to local management and to the corporate offices in Miami, Fla. for comment and to determine what action would be taken, but had not received any response. On Monday, both places were again contacted and District Manager, Curtis Shaw, was on site at the Carroll restaurant. He said, however, that there would be no official comment yet.

Shaw does not know when exactly that statement will be released, but the Burger King location in Carroll will be shut down Monday afternoon for training.

Shaw said that even though this location is run by a franchisee, the situation has to go through proper channels on the corporate level. He added he will make sure that Carroll Broadcasting receives a copy of that statement as soon as it is released.
