As of Wednesday, the Iowa spring turkey hunting applications for non-resident hunters opened. Those applying early will have the best choice of season and zone. The deadline to apply is Jan. 26 and a link to the online application forms can be found below. The 2020 spring turkey seasons starts with resident only youth from April 10 through April 12, followed by season one from April 13 through April 16, second season from April 17 through April 21, third season from April 22 through April 28 and fourth season the following week, from April 29 through May 17. Resident archery only season is April 13 through May 17. Daily bag and season possession limit is one bearded or male wild turkey for each valid license. Shooting hours are limited to a half-hour before sunrise to sunset.
