No injuries were reported in an accident between a semi-tractor trailer and a car Saturday morning in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department reports they were called to the scene on U.S. Highway 30 and Boylan Drive at approximately 9:34 a.m. A 2000 Peterbilt semi, driven by 49-year-old Joseph Rayburn of Le Mars, was eastbound on Highway 30. Eighty-nine-year-old Donald Wiederin of Scranton was attempting to cross the highway southbound at Boylan in a 2015 Chrysler 300. Wiederin pulled out in front of the semi and was struck. Wiederin was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
