Next week will mark the return of the CANsurvive Cancer Support Group at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. The first meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15, will feature RN, Katie Nelson and Oncologist, Dr. Randal Hess, who will discuss living with cancer and survivorship. The group was reformed in recognition of the fact that in addition to exceptional medical care, there is a need for education and for people to come together and share in emotional and spiritual support while working through a cancer diagnosis. The group is open to cancer patients and survivors as well as their families, friends and loved ones. Following meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of every month and each one is scheduled from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the St. Clare Room at the St. Anthony Surgery Center. Attendees can park on the first or second floor of the parking garage and use the elevator to access the fourth-floor meeting room. Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required and can be done by calling 794-5243. A listing of upcoming planned topics of discussion can be found by following the link included below.
