Three children who suffered injuries in a Lake City house fire Thursday night were airlifted to an Iowa City hospital for treatment of injuries, including some burns. Assistant Chief, Landon Krause, says the report came in at approximately 10 p.m. and upon arrival at the scene, they found the fire on the second story of the home on Olive Street, south of Highway 175. He says the team was able to extinguish the blaze relatively quickly. The State Fire Marshal’s office is on hand this (Friday) morning, working to determine a cause. At this time, the condition of the three children is unknown. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you updates as they become available.
