As the calendar turned over to the new year and the 2020 legislative session got underway on Monday, Iowa Gov., Kim Reynolds announced appointments to boards and commissions. From the Carroll Broadcasting listening area: Eileen Meyer of Manson has been appointed to the Justice Advisory Board; Virginia Taylor from Exira to the Armory Board; Jerry Chizek of Manson to the North Central Regional STEM Advisory Board; and Nadine Jessen of Exira to the Southwest Regional STEM Advisory Board. These appointments must all be confirmed by the senate.
