A traffic stop for an equipment violation has resulted in a Lake View man being arrested on drug charges. The Sac County Sheriff’s Office initiated the stop in the 3500 block of Otter Avenue, southwest of Sac City, at approximately 9:50 p.m. Monday. The deputy was granted permission for a consent search of the 1997 Pontiac Bonneville, driven by 41-year-old Kurt Lee Heuton. During the search, a substance that field tested positive as methamphetamine was located as was a glass smoking device. Heuton was transported to the Sac County jail and booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
