With just over two weeks left until caucus night in Iowa, two of the highest polling candidates will be bringing their campaigns to the listening area this weekend. On Saturday, New Mexico Congresswoman, Deb Haaland, is hosting events for Massachusetts Senator, Elizabeth Warren, in Carroll, Fort Dodge and Ames. Haaland was elected in 2018 and is one of the first Native American women to serve in Congress. She will be in Carroll Saturday at 9:30 a.m. to launch a canvass and phone bank push from Warren’s field office at 210 East 5th St. Haaland will then head to Warren’s Fort Dodge Office to speak at 3:15 p.m. Haaland’s final stop is at 5 p.m. at the Collegiate United Methodist Church in Ames to attend the Story County Democrats Soup Supper Fundraiser. Mayor, Pete Buttigieg, will also be in the listening area on Saturday. He is leading a town hall meeting at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Office in Harlan at 2 p.m. Links to RSVP to these events can be found with this story on our website. The first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucuses are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3.
